Ecoxotic Panorama LED Module Unboxing and Hands-on

I was fortunate enough to win Trick or Treat Giveaway contest from Ecoxotic. My prize was an Ecoxotic Panorama LED Module 453nm Actinic Blue.

My prize came in the week I was out of town. When I got back, the box was by our front door. It came on a well packed and padded rectangular box.

What’s in the Box:12 LED Module
Power Supply
Mounting bracket and screws
Product Manual

The 1-foot module comes with 12 LEDs and mine came with 8 whites and 4 blues (honestly I thought I would get the 12 blue version). The pic below is shot at a high shutter speed so you can all see the LED’s in action.

And this shows its strength:

Underneath is a nicely finished black anodized 12″ heat sink block that allows it to run with no fan.

This will surely fit in my 125g SPS tank that I’m setting up. It will become my dawn and dusk light and will continue running throughout the day to provide shimmer on my all T5 setup. I will most probably get another one (maybe two) to encompass the whole tank. I will post pics when it’s all running early next year.

The Ecoxotic Panorama LED Module runs only at 13w, will last for about 12 years, and is just $99. More info at Ecoxotic.
