NanoCustoms is coming out with a new LED Driver Enclosures that will surely become a hit with LED lighting DIYers. The first in the series is the NanoCustoms Duo 700 — a dual channel LED controller that can run up to 15 x 3w LEDs per channel at 700mA (thus the name). What’s unique about the controller is, each channel comes with a 3-way rocker switch that allows the option of manual dimming via a a slider or programmable dimming (0-10v) using a reef controller. It’s nicely packaged in an in-house milled annodized unibody aluminum housing. Check out the demo videos:
NanoCustoms has informed me to expect variations of their LED driver enclosure products. Expect to see the Uno, Duo, and Trio in 700mA and 1050mA varations.
Until recently, DIY LED reef folks have been using drivers from Meanwell. NanoCustoms however secured a deal with Thomas Research Products (TRP) to become the exclusive distributor of TRP drivers for the aquarium world. Expect to see the TRP drivers (update: now available) and TRP controlled fixture products from NanoCustoms soon.
You can now pre-order the NanoCustoms Duo 700 over at NanoTuners, NanoCustom’s retail storefront. It’s $119.95 for a limited time (regular price will be $139.95) and you can reserve one for $25 plus the shipping fee.
